Welcome to Hawaiian Keto Girl!
Welcome to Hawaiian Keto Girl, where I transform local Hawaii recipes and transform them into keto friendly options. All my recipes are keto friendly, sugar free, low carb, and simple enough for the everyday cook. I have always enjoyed baking and cooking, but I never thought it would ever become an actual “thing” for me. I don’t consider myself a pro, I am simply sharing my journey. I am always open to hear your thoughts, so please leave a comment below!
Keto Guri Guri (Sherbet)
Today, I will walking you through on how to make a delicious keto friendly and sugar free Hawaii inspired dessert. It is quick and simple to make. It reminds me of Guri Guri, a Hawaiian Ice Cream/Sherbet, that everyone grows up to love and enjoy here in Hawaii. My recipe only calls for water, heavy whipping cream, ice, gelatin, and your choice of sugar free Jello. If you’ve been living the keto lifestyle for even a week, you probably have these ingredients sitting in your pantry.
I have learned that it is best to enjoy this dish when you are done blending everything together. You can freeze it for later use, but it will be rock hard solid and will require ample time to thaw. So skip the hassle and enjoy it immediately after making it the recipe. It tastes so refreshing and the recipe is so simple!
I have tried this recipe with strawberry based flavored sugar free Jello, but I want to try it with orange and also lime! Please be sure to follow me on social media to stay updated on my daily posts. I will most likely share a new flavor on my Instagram or Facebook page in the near future!
